The objective of this symposium is to hold a biannual and itinerant meeting, with the support of universities in Iberoamerica, through the presentation of scientific and technological works aimed at specialists, researchers, academics, technology suppliers, among others related to Mine Ventilation . All of this will allow you to review, analyze, learn from experiences, technological advances, research, trends and recent developments that reach a superior state of art.
Some of the specific objectives are:
Facilitate rapprochement between different interest groups (suppliers, engineering companies, production companies, consultants).
Generate a collaborative network around mine ventilation and take this discipline to an increasingly higher level.
Generate spaces for the exhibition of technical topics and debate around mine ventilation.
Bring together experts from different universities, countries, companies and technology providers around mine ventilation
Develop a network of suppliers on a South American scale that will allow us to do business in the future with the technical requirements and demands that each region demands.

PREVIOUS EDITIONS
2018
With the aim of bringing together academics and professionals linked to the ventilation of Mines in South America, the first International Symposium on Mine Ventilation was created.
The event organized by the Department of Mining Engineering at the University of Santiago de Chile took place from November 19 to 23, 2018 in Santiago. In its first edition, the symposium featured courses and presentations of technical and scientific work in all areas related to mine ventilation. In addition, technical visits were carried out to the Chiquicamata and El Teniente underground mines.
2021
The initial idea of the symposium was to hold an edition every 2 years. This time the host country was Peru, organized by the Professional School of Mines of the National University of Engineering of Peru. The event was completely virtual, as it took place between March 28th and 31st, 2021, still during the Covid pandemic.
In addition to the technical-scientific sections, the event featured workshops related to mine ventilation and the Expo Ventilacíon Minera 2021.
2022
The third symposium was held in the city of Zacatecas, Mexico. It was in hybrid format, i.e., a face-to-face part and a virtual part. The face-to-face part was held at the Centro Platero de México.
The main organization was made by the company WeMining.
The event took place from October 10 to 14, 2022.
This meeting included the 2022 edition of Expo Ventilación, as well as workshops and technical-scientific presentations.
